Cyber Insurance

Background: The growing risk of cyberattacks against networks and digital devices in the contemporary world has made cyber insurance more crucial. This policy protects firms from cyber events like cyber theft and terrorism (Baker & Shortland, 2023). According to Romanosky et al. (2019), a cyber insurance policy covers multiple risks, including recovering personal identities, attack remediation, system damage, and data breaches and recovery (Romanosky et al. (2019). Different scholars analyze cyber insurance coverage and policies and their significance as risk management tools and explain how this concept has evolved with the increasing need for safety in businesses.

This document is an outline. It should be a 1 page document written in APA style of a brief narration for what would be the highlights of a cyber insurance presentation (the presentation will consist of 13 slides).

Highlights such as the role of cyber insurance in mitigating risk, cyber insurance pricing, factors affecting demand, the evolution of cyber insurance, and so on.

Mental Health and Addictions (MHA)

The case presentation is a requirement for students who are finishing the Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) focus area practicum and should be completed toward the end of the final field placement. In order to be prepared for the case presentation, students and field instructors should discuss which client system may be appropriate to utilize for this case presentation early on and as the practicum evolves.

The purpose of the case presentation is twofold. First, it provides a vehicle through which a student can demonstrate competency in a variety of areas relevant to the Mental Health and Addictions focus area practicum. Secondly, faculty field liaison scoring of each student’s presentation is aggregated and enables the School of Social Work to assess its effectiveness in preparing students for competent practice in the area of mental health and addictions.

I have attached the Case in the evaluation paper. You will need to use her assessment and her background to complete the instructions for this case presentation.

• It’s Time to Address the Role of Implicit Bias Within Health Care DeliveryLinks to an external site.
Background:
Newly graduated health care professionals (e.g., Doctors, Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, etc.) are unfamiliar with the day-to-day operations addressing practice management, insurance coverage requirements (e.g., referrals, pre-authorizations), credentialing, accreditation, state and federal regulations, health care laws, and reimbursement methods. Their educational focus has been on learning how to diagnose and treat patients. Therefore, understanding the operational aspect in practice management is imperative to the financial viability of their future practice.
The CEO of the largest health care teaching hospital in the area asked you to present an overview of the U.S. health care system to newly graduated health care professionals (e.g., Primary Physicians, Specialists, Hospitalists, Internists, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants, etc.). You have been tasked with creating a PowerPoint presentation that includes the elements outlined below.
This assignment is the first part of a comprehensive presentation you will develop on the U. S. health care system. What you create this week will be integrated into The U.S. Health Care System: Part 2 Final Presentation in Week 5. For this assignment (Part 1), you will provide an overview of the U.S. health care system. Follow the instructions below to complete the assignment.
In this assignment, you will prepare a PowerPoint presentation with 7 to 9 slides that includes detailed speaker’s notes of 100–150 words for each slide, not including the title and reference slides. This means you will need a minimum of nine slides (one title slide, one reference slide, plus seven topic slides) for this presentation submission. Please see the HCA205 PowerPoint Instructions Download HCA205 PowerPoint Instructionsdocument for expanded information on expected detail in your presentation.
Title slide with your introduction:
Begin your presentation by including a title slide (see specifics below). In the speaker’s notes of this slide, include introductory information, which will include your degree plan and any health care experience you have or share your qualifications related to the information you are presenting. If you have no health care experience, you can be creative with professional experience.
Overview slide:
Next, create an overview slide that describes the required components to be covered in the presentation. Add bulleted points for each of the topics being covered. You are required to elaborate on each bullet point shown on the slide in the speaker’s notes section below the slide.
Remaining content:
The remaining slides will the following required components:
• Describe one influencing factor from each (17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st) that revolutionized the U.S. health care system. These are found in your textbook and in the PBS Healthcare TimelineLinks to an external site..

o Provide your rationale for the revolutionary factors selected.
• Discuss how the revolutionary factors changed the health care system
o Include an explanation as to how the factors influenced patient, family, and professional stakeholders in health care (how it has affected patient and family members, how it has changed the role of the health care professional).
 Refer to the timeline simulation Global Perspectives: Shifts in Science and Medicine That Changed Healthcare located inside the summary and resources page of Chapter 2, which was reviewed in Week 1. Chapter 2 in your textbook discusses the evolution of our health care system and is a good resource for this part of the presentation as well.
• Discuss at least one major development from each of the following perspectives: financial, legal, ethical, regulatory, technological, and social (e.g., consumer demand)

o Include details regarding how each development transformed the system into what it is today.
 For more perspective you may want to review the timeline simulation Global Perspectives: Shifts in Science and Medicine That Changed Healthcare.
• Evaluate three different stakeholders’ effect on the health care system (see list below).
o Include details about their purpose and impact.
o Include examples of both positive and negative impacts made by your chosen stakeholders (e.g., a negative contribution is when a health insurance plan refuses a claim for a medically necessary procedure).

o Stakeholders include people and organizations that have affected the health care system, such as
 Physicians, nurses, and other patient care providers
 Patients and clients
 Health insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield, managed care organizations, etc.)
 Federal or state governments
 Professional health care organizations (American Medical Association, American Nurses Association, etc.)
 Health care accreditation agencies (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services [CMS], The Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance [NCQA], etc.)
• Analyze two common biases (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic or class, LGBTQ+, age, size, disability, faith, etc.) patients experience from health care providers.
o Include a brief explanation of the two biases and how they can be conveyed through words, body language, tests ordered, procedures, etc., by health care providers.
o Include the impact this may have on the patient’s health outcomes.
o Include how this may influence the patient’s future use of the health care system.

should be written using a suitable text editor such as Microsoft Word and submission
is done electronically using Turnitin on Blackboard. Both files should be submitted
through Turnitin.
Design Task
You are to design the control Logic of a lift in a 3-floor building.
Background information on the lift for this assignment.
A 3-storey building has a lift that is used to carry people between its floors. The lift
has buttons that are used to control its operation.
On Ground Floor – L0:
G: This button is pressed by passengers on the ground floor that to call the lift.
On 1
st Floor – L1:
U1: This button is pressed by passengers requesting the lift and wishing to go up to
L2
D1: This button is pressed by passengers requesting the lift and wishing to descend
to L0
On 2
nd Floor – L2:
D2: This button is pressed by passengers requesting the lift and wishing to
descend.
Inside the lift: there are 3 buttons
L0: This button is pressed by passengers wishing to go to Ground Floor.
L1: This button is pressed by passengers wishing to go to 1st Floor.
L2: This button is pressed by passengers wishing to go to 2
nd Floor.
The buttons control two motors:
– A motor moving the lift up and down (moving the lift between two adjacent
floors takes three seconds).
– A motor opening the inner lift doors. The lift’s inside doors are linked to the
doors on each floor when the lift arrives, so no additional motor for opening
the outer doors on each floor are needed.
Marks are given for complexity and enhancement of your design. (see below).
Operation of the Lift:
– When the lift reaches a floor, the doors open for 15 seconds to allow
passengers to enter or to leave, before closing its door and continuing its
operation.
– The lift makes a decision to proceed to the next level (up or down by
monitoring the L0, L1 and L2 buttons).
– The lift gives an up or down command to the electric motor that moves it up
and down between floors.
– It takes 3 seconds for the lift to move between floors.
– The lift control must give an open door command to open the doors when
needed.
TASK 1:
You are required to provide a flow chart for the operation of this lift. You must also
describe in detail the design of your flowchart, i.e., provide an explanation on how
your system works. This part of the assignment should be in the form of a technical
report.
TASK 2:
Implement your flowchart on the Logicator software, which is installed on the
workstations in the computer rooms. For practise, you can also download the software
and install it on your home PC or laptop from the following link.
https://picaxe.com/software/picaxe/picaxe-editor-6/
You will have to demonstrate that the flowchart you have implemented works. This
can be done in various ways including providing screenshots. You must provide
appropriate documentation, such as the utilisation of input and output pins: Which
input pin relates to which button? What motor does what function? Which output pin
relates to which light? Etc.
To enhance your design, you may include the following and/or any other features
that you want:
• Indicate whether the lift is going up or down, i.e., one output lighting an up
arrow, and one output lighting a down arrow.
• Sound an alarm when the door is closing.
• Sound an alarm when the lift has reached a floor.
• Check a photointerruptor when closing doors to ensure they are not blocked.
Award of marks:
Marks will be awarded on your ability to do the following:
• A good quality flowchart (i.e. one which is readable, well commented and
documented) [20 marks]
• The complexity of your solution [20 marks]
• The documentation that you provide with your solutions [10 marks]
• Ability to demonstrate that you have learnt and used Logicator [20 marks]
• The enhancement that you have added to your solutions [15 marks]
• Evidence that you have checked your solution [15 marks]
—————————————————————————————————–
Summary of submission components:
For this coursework you will submit the following and there will be a separate
submission link for each of them on Blackboard:
1. Word-processed report (50%)
2. Logicator file and implementation (50%)

Wealth and Life Expectancy

Visualize changes over time and space
More advanced ggplot plus spatial data visualization
Tasks
• Recreate layered graphics with ggplot including raw and transformed data
• Save graphical output as a .png file
• Save your script
Background
Hans Rosling is one of the most popular data scientists on the web. His original TED talk was very popular when it came out. We are going to create some graphics using his formatted data in our case study. Note that we need to remove Kuwait from the data (discussion on this at https://github.com/jennybc/gapminder/ issues/9).
Instructions
In this exercise you will recreate the three graphics shown below (Page 3-4) using gapminder dataset from gapminder package and world dataset from spData package. Get your graphs to match as closely as you can. Specific instructions/steps are listed in the ‘Detailed Steps’ section.
Detailed Steps
1. Load the necessary packages.
• Use filter() to remove “Kuwait” from the gapminder dataset
2. Plot #1
• Use ggplot() and the theme_bw() to make the first plot using the filtered dataset (without Kuwait)
• Specify the appropriate aesthetic mapping (aes()) to color by continent and adjust the size of the point with size=pop/100000. Remember that if you adjust the data like this you will also need to update the legend title.
• Use Dark2 color palette.
• Use scale_y_continuous(trans = “sqrt”) to get the correct scale on the y-axis.
• Use a facet function to divide the plot into separate panels.
• Specify more informative x and y axis labels.
3. Prepare the data for the second plot
• Load world data from spData package.
• Change the name_long column name to country to match the gapminder data.
• Calculate the increase in life expectancy between 1957 and 2007 for each country.
• Join the calculated data to world data.
4. Plot #2
• Use ggplot() and the theme_bw() to make the second plot using the joined world data.
• Use Reds color palette. Change legend title.
5. Prepare data for the third plot
• Use st_centroid to get the centroid points from world data.
6. Plot #3
• Use 2014 life expectancy and GDP per capita from world data in this plot.
• Use YlGnBu color palette for the life expectancy.
• Plot gdpPercap at the centroid points of each country by size.
• Change legend titles.
7. Use ggsave() or png() and save each plot as a .png
8. Check your script to confirm that it runs from start to finish without errors and saves the graphics.
9. Save your script
What you submit
You need to submit:
1. your R script file (CS04_yourname.R),
2. Three output graphs files – three png files (e.g. Fig1_yourname.png),
3. Briefly explain the information of each graph in a word or pdf file.
